The Lexa range of bikes are designed to give a confidence inspiring ride through womens fit geometry and confident stable handling. As with the entry level Trek constructed using Trek's 100 series alpha aluminium for a lightweight frame for the money, with a carbon fork a significant upgrade over the entry level Lexa.

Another important upgrade is the Shimano Sora groupset which offers 9 speed shifting using the integrated brake and gear STI levers, with Shimano Sora front mech and Shimano Tiagra rear mech used to provide reliable shifting. The compact chainset uses a smaller than standard inner ring to allow for a spread of gears similar to that found on a triple chainset, but on two chainrings rather than three.

Womens fit handlebars are used, this helps reduce the reach to the brake levers, something that is a problems for women on mens bikes, and a womens saddle is also featured.
