The 4900 Disc is the first bike in Trek's hardtail range to feature a 10 speed drivetrain, used in conjunction with a triple chainset for a total of 30 gears. 

The drivetrain is all Shimano, using a Deore level M552 chainset, Deore M591 shifters, an SLX Shadow rear mech and a Deore front mech, for a reliable and smooth shifting from the market leaders.

It is not only the drivetrain that marks this bike out as being a bit of a star. The Suntour fork is 100mm travel, and equipped with lockout that can be operated from the bars. Also key to the great value at this pricepoint is the Shimano M446 hydraulic disc brakes.

The finishing touches come from Bontrager, the XR2 tyres offer good all round performance, and the bars, stem, seatpost and saddle are all from Bontrager.
