The Ridgeback Meteor has a few upgrades over the Ridgeback Comet upon which it is based, most notably the fact that is equipped with mudguards and a rack.

As with the Comet, the Meteor uses 8 speed Shimano shifters with an upgraded Shimano Acera triple chainset (with chainguard for protection) for a total of 24 gears. The rear mech is upgraded to Shimano Acera along with a Shimano HG50 chain. A suspension seatpost helps ride comfort.

Shimano Acera V-Brakes are also used for increased braking performance and power. The key upgrade though is that the Meteor comes equipped with mudguards and pannier rack.

The Meteor is a very popular model for us, with good quality Shimano 8 speed transmission and equipped with guards and rack for a reliable and comfortable city bike.
