Versatile hybrid with lockout suspension fork
The Marin Kentfield FS is the front suspension version of the standard Kentfield; entry level model of the Marin City range. The suspension fork offers the rider a little more versatility and comfort; it enables the rider to take the bike a little more off the beaten track, and also cushions some of the bumps along the way. It also has a lockout feature so the fork can behave akin to a rigid fork on the tarmac. For this benefit comes a drawback: the weight of the bike is increased due to the fork. Marin's City bikes are built around a lightweight aluminium frame, with butted tubes thinning in the middle and strengthening around the joins and welds to offer a frameset that is both lightweight and strong. Developed and proven over the last two decades, the Marin city bikes give a smooth ride with responsive riding characteristics. Available in both a mens and womens model, the womens model uses a low step through for easing mounting / dismounting. Key features of the Marin Kentfield FS:
